As part of the
Geological Sciences Departmentıs Center for Environmental Science Research, I
run the Paleolimnology and Environmental Sedimentolgy Lab at Salem State. We primarily study sediment
records that have accumulated at the bottom of lakes and estuaries to
reconstruct past environmental conditions. These deposits can be used to
reconstruct climate variability at high resolution so that we can understand
past changes in Earthıs climate system.
I also use sediment records to reconstruct pollution and human influence
on natural water bodies. Below are
links highlighting current projects, facilities, and publications from the
group. I have room on all of these
projects for additional student help, and new projects are in the pipe
line. If you have any ideas for
research, feel free to stop by and we can chat!
