Welcome & General Comments

I will be on sabbatical leave from January through July of 2011 and will be doing some research on disparities in the geography of mental health, in both New Zealand and Israel.  I expect to be keeping a blog of the sabbatical, at:  http://cghudson1.wordpress.com/.  Feel free to subscribe to it (at the bottom of the blog).

Here are a few publications that are either scheduled to come out, or are in process. Some that I would like to highlight are:

  • Here are a few links for my recently published textbook on Complex Systems and Human Behavior (Lyceum Books). Table of Contents & Preface. Published January 2010. Amazon.com.
  • Hudson, C.G. (2009). "Validation of a model for estimating state and local prevalence of serious mental illness", The International Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research. Here here's an ABSTRACT
  • Hudson, C.G. (2010). A predictive model of the development of national mental health Systems. Journal of Mental Health Policy and Economics, 13, 175-187.  LINK TO ABSTRACT
  • Hudson, C.G. & Vissing, Y.M. (2010). The geography of adult homelessness in the US: Validation of state and county estimates. Health & Place, 16(5), 828-837.  ABSTRACT
  • Hudson, C.G. (In press). “Disparities in the geography of mental health:  Implications for social work”. Social Work’. ABSTRACT

And here is some information on a few recent or ongoing projects:
