Grading Policy
1.Your lab grade will be based on the average of all your quizzes (20%), 3 lab practicals (70%), and classwork/homework (10%).
2. If you are late to class and a quiz has been administered, you will take the quiz after
class. If you are absent on a quiz day, there are no make-ups. Lab practical make-ups will not be given unless circumstances warrant them. The instructor must receive a request for a lab practical make-up no later than 24 hours after the scheduled hour of the lab practical.
3. If classes are canceled on the day of a scheduled quiz or lab practical, plan on taking the quiz or lab practical during the next scheduled lab period.
4. If a lab section is canceled due to the closing of the college, the lab can be made up on the following Monday. Contact lab instructor to schedule times.
Attendance Policy
1. Attendance will be taken at each class period. It is your responsibility to sign the
attendance sheet.
2. A total of 3 personal absences will be allowed (days involving quizzes/lab practicals are exempt from this policy).
3. Students are expected to attend each class unless seriously ill or absent due to a
personal emergency.
4. If you are going to be absent for a prolonged period of time, please contact the
instructor. Messages can be left by Voice Mail: 978-542-6528 or E-mail me at cmaney@shore.net
5. Come to class on time but keep in mind, it’s better to come to class late than not come
at all. If you are late, take a seat in the back to prevent commotion due to your tardiness.
6. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to obtain missed assignments.
