Enter the LearningProject to enhance your knowledge base of the world around you. (Currently, the only development completed is in the History and Social Science area).

Throughout the site, you will notice four distinct features:

1. Color coded wallpaper. Each section has a "theme color" so you know where you are in the LearningProject. The colors are seen above beside the topic headings.

2. Return to the LaunchPad button. The Return to the LaunchPad button brings you back to this page. Say for instance you have been reading about the American Revolution, and now you are interested in looking into some of the literature of that period. In the History and Social Science section, there will be cross references to English Literature, but you may want to go straight into the English Languages section through its topic heading. Returning to this page helps you to do that with great ease.

3. Vocabulary Definition links. When you click on a highlighted word, you won't be transported to the world wide web, but a box will open that will contain the definition of the referenced word. This will help you in building your vocabulary, and learning new and interesting words.

4. Links to webpages outside our domain. In those instances, your web browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) will open a new browser window, and your place in the LearningProject.com site will not change. At times you may have several browser windows open, so keep your eyes on your Windows toolbar (usually at the bottom of your screen).
