                             1:15 –2:15

 

Approximate distribution of credit

Chapter 2                     25% 

Chapter 3                     30%  (including exactly one problem using the definition of the derivative.)

Chapter 4                     45%

 

I will assume that you have knowledge of the material in Chapter 1, which was a review of precalculus.(functions, domain and range, trigonometry, etc.)

 

The exam is cumulative.

Oblique asymptotes

4.2   The Mean Value Theorem

Inverse secant, inverse cosecant, inverse cotangent functions and their derivatives (from 3.9)

Sections 2.3, 3.10, 3.11, 4.7: We didn’t cover these.

 

 You may bring one 8 ½” by 11” page of notes.  This page may include definitions, formulas and explanations.  It may NOT include specific examples.  You must make up your own sheet, put your name on it and hand it in with your exam.

 

A calculator is strongly suggested.  I will bring a few extras in case they are needed.
