Changes to the Distrbution of the American Scientist
Beginning with the July–August 2012 issue, we will distribute American Scientist digitally to all active Sigma Xi members via an e-mail notification with links to a browser or PDF version. The digital format is evolving and will continue to improve with advancements in technology as well as input from our members. In time, we plan to use the digital edition of the magazine to build an interactive community with our readers and to share and explore ideas, knowledge and perspectives.
This connected model is something we could never achieve with paper. We look forward to expanding the magazine into a learning experience that leverages audio, video and other interactive tools.
To ensure that members receive the digital edition, we will ask that they make sure that we have their current e-mail address on file. To review their contact information, members can log onto the website https://www.sigmaxi.org/member/update/addressform.html. Or, members may e-mail us at memberinfo@sigmaxi.org or call us at 800-243-6534.
Finally, all active (dues-paying) members may continue receiving the print version of the magazine by subscribing at the member discount rate of $20.00 per year. Further details on subscribing to the print edition will be in the May–June issue of American Scientist.
We ask that you share this information with your chapter members and thank you for your continued support of Sigma Xi and American Scientist.
