A. Profiles
Chart type = Paired X-Y no grid (8 20, 11 24)
1. When selecting data for charting the first column is automatically assigned as the X values, the second column are the Y values. To change the order of assignment, pick your X data column then hold down the cloverleaf key while selecting the column for your Y values.
2. You can save and apply chart formats by using the library. (pp. 2 28-29 and 15 1-10)
3. Once you have created a chart you can superimposed other profile lines bya. selecting the chart
b. under the chart menu select revise data
c. the data page will reappear
d. choose you original X and Y data, then while holding down the cloverleaf key pick the other columns of data you wish to plot. When finished click on the the revise key.
note: there may be a strange gray line at the base of your profile. To eliminate it, select it and color it white. You will need to maintain the same vertical exaggeration on all your graphs. I don't recommend anything over 10x. Once you've calculated the length of your axes you can set them in the program and save them in the library
