September 1990 to present, Associate Professor, Salem State College, Salem, Massachusetts.

January to May 1997, Acting Chair, Department of Accounting & Finance.

Member of the Accounting/Finance department.

Courses taught: Accounting Principles I and II, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Cost Accounting I, Tax I, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Financial Management and Intermediate Financial Management.

 

February 1988 to present, Paul F. McGee, CPA Stoneham, Massachusetts.

Started my own CPA practice with a specialty in accounting and tax services for the closely held small companies. I also prepare individual tax returns. I provide reviews and compilation for my clients as well as management advisory services.

 

Summer 1988 to present, Salem State College. Teach in the continuing education and graduate school.

 

May 1984 to February 1988, Microwave Antenna Systems and Technology Inc., Billerica, Massachusetts.

Manufacturer of radar components. Controller - Responsible for all accounting functions of a three million dollar business. Duties included supervising the accounting staff, preparing monthly financial statements, inventory costing and cost analysis for various product lines. Had the overall responsibility of bringing on line three difference computer systems; Digital 11/23, digital 11/73 and the IBM system 36. The IBM System 36 had a complete manufacturing and financial/accounting package (MAPICS).

 

June 1980 to May 1994, Engineering Dynamics Corp., Lowell, Massachusetts.

Controller: Manufacturer of capital medical equipment and computerized exercise bicycles. Job shop fabrication. Responsible for all financial affairs of the company. Prepared monthly internal financial statements and analyses of operations for the President. Prepared budgets and financial forecasts. Arrange and oversee public audit of company's books.

July 1976 to June 1980, Pannel Kerr Forster, Boston, Massachusetts.

Audit supervisor: Duties included supervision of field work, preparation of federal and state tax returns for all types of entities, and supervision and training of subordinates.

 

Military: United State Navy, January 1970 to January 1974

 

CONSULTING

I consult with small businesses and individuals. I have a small CPA practice in Stoneham which keeps me current concerning issues such as the economy, job opportunities, new technologies etc. My consulting practice helps to bring real life examples into the classroom.
