IN THE NEWS

Welcome to my homepage. This is my seventh year teaching at Salem State and I find teaching most rewarding job I have ever held. This is my first teaching job, and I like to say that I am a CPA who happens to be teaching. This is the longest I have been at one job and I intend to stay many more years. I think the students at SSC are terrific and I truly enjoy working with them.

I am married and have two children, a boy 11 and a girl 3. My number one interest is my family, then I like sports and politics, (a true Boston Irish kid).

This year Salem State will participate, for the seventh consecutive year, in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. There are 20 student volunteers, 4 or 5 alumni volunteers, 2 faculty members and an outside CPA who have agreed to work in the community, every week, providing free tax assistance to the elderly, low-income, and handicapped. This is a program sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service. Salem State is a strong contributor to the success of the program in Massachusetts.

Awards: Received a proclamation from Governor Weld for volunteering to work in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
