ENVIRONMENTAL GEOPHYSICS AND ARCHAEOPHYSICS

 

My primary research involves the application of geology and geophysics to environmental and archaeological problems.   Below is a partial list of new or ongoing projects.        

 

            

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I work at these sites I usually try to use several different geophysical approaches. This means a lot of equipment and a fair bit of setup time.  The results, however, are worth the work.  Each project involves two to five undergraduate researchers. In addition to the above large projects I have several smaller projects some of which are environmental and others geoarchaeological. I encourage students, from freshman to seniors to join me on a project.  We have great fun and the locations are usually beautiful.
