My Role in the Communications Program

I am pleased to be a member of the Communications faculty. We are currently housed within the English Department of the School of Arts and Sciences. Comm, as it is known on campus, comprises more than 200 majors. That makes us one of the six largest programs at the College. And within two academic years, Communcations anticipates completing its evolution from a Program to a full-fledged Department of study within the College.

I teach in all three Concentrations -- Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising. My own career in Communications has included working in all three environments.

My teaching career includes California State Los Angeles (English), University of California-Riverside (Freelance Writing), Emerson College (Public Relations and Advertising), Boston College (Public Relations), Boston University (Public Affairs) and Harvard University Extension.
