Student Honored for His Research

I designed and teach Comm Research Methods (Comm 300). The course -- a requirement -- is considered challenging. Even difficult. But students have produced high-quality research studies in a broad range of Comm-related areas from Journalism to Family Communications. More than 30 student projects have been featured at all-College research fairs and in Spring l999 a Comm student produced a project jury-selected to be presented at the prestigious 25th Anniversary Honors Undergraduate Research symposium of DePauw University in Indiana.

Klips Magazine Project

In l997 three Honors students worked wit me to develop a prototype of a magazine called Klips (articles "clipped" from the popular press). The project was the basis of these students' Senior Thesis.
